TITLE: General Cafeteria Worker
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires, at a minimum, a High School diploma.
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: MS – District Food Service Manager
HS – HS Cafeteria Manager
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten-month position
EVALUATION: Performance in this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with Board Policy, administrative directives and be consistent with the terms and conditions of employment.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepares for daily cafeteria work.
2. Handles cash register for food lines.
3. Prepares food for daily lunches:
- Slices meats and cheese
- Prepares sandwiches
- Prepares salads
4. Brings materials out for the food lines.
5. Washes pots, pans, and other utensils.
6. Assists cooks and other staff with daily routines.
7. Fills in for absent staff members when necessary.
8. Prepares food and materials for elementary satellite lunch programs.
9. Cleans all work areas.
10. Cleans and sweep-up around work area.
11. Performs all other tasks assigned by supervisor.
